CoCo View Resort

CoCo View Resort ( in Roatan, Honduras from May 20 to May 27, 2017.  CoCo View is a fantastic dive destination and is ranked consistently among the most popular dive destinations in the world.  All meals are included, BBQ and picnic on the cay (weather permitting), unlimited wreck, wall and night diving which can all be done from the shore in front of the resort.  In addition, you'll get two 2-tank boat dives per day.  You will arrive at the resort on Saturday and can get in the water that afternoon.  You will depart late in the afternoon of the following Saturday so you will actually have 8 days (count 'em) to soak up the tropical atmosphere.

We've purposely omitted the airfare from this package since we've discovered that you, as an individual, can do much better than we were able to do with our "group airfare".  This will free you to shop for lower fares and also use your frequent flyer miles if you so choose. Here's what you do: Fly from your chosen airport to Roatan (RTB) on Saturday, May 20, 2017 and return on Saturday, May 27, 2017.  United Airlines and American both fly this direct route out of Houston (IAH).  Plan to arrive in Roatan on the 20th of May as early as practical and plan to leave on the 27th of May as late as possible.  This will give you more time on the island.  You will be met at the Roatan airport by CoCo View staff and transported to the resort as a part of your trip package.  Of course, return transportation to the airport is also included. If you need additional information, please give me a call at the shop (contact information available on the bottom).  The trip price is: $1,802, all-inclusive except airfare.

Flyers for CoCo View are available by request or you can go to and check out all the goodies.

I have 12 rooms for a total of 24 spots.  All are over-water cabanas so you have the Caribbean Sea literally under your cabin floor.  All are air conditioned and have private porches with hammocks overlooking the Caribbean.  All rooms are double occupancy so bring your buddy!!  If you don't have a buddy, don't worry…we'll find one for you!

The price for this fantastic package is only $1,802, all inclusive except airfare.  Again, this includes all diving, all meals, all taxes and tranfers.  I don't like to be "nickel and dimed" to death so it's all here in one terrific and all-inclusive package.  We've got to get this thing rolling so grab your buddy and call me as soon as possible.  A deposit of $200 will hold each spot with the balance due by January 24, 2017.

Please call or e-mail me (these information is available on the footer) if you have any questions.  I want to see YOU in CoCo View with us!  Visit CoCo View website:

Gulf Diving

We offer trips to the offshore rigs for spearfishing and photography.  These trips are entirely weather dependent and prices will vary depending on the arrangements made.  Please check with the shop for availability.

We have made several trips to the Pensacola area of Florida to dive the wrecks and structures.  Most of these trips require the use of a boat and we have contracted with dive operators in the Pensacola area to provide transportation to the sites.  Check with Mike's Dive Center to see what's coming up.

Flower Gardens

photo by Tane Casserley/NOAAThe Flower Gardens were declared a National Marine Sanctuary in 1991 with Stetson Bank being added a few years later.  There is currently talk of further expanding the sanctuary to include other adjacent areas of marine activity.  This sanctuary is the northermost natural coral reef in North America.  The coral reefs are growing on the tops of ancient salt domes with the largest covering approximately 350 acres.  The reef is extremely healthy due, in part, to it's isolation from shoreline pollutants.  Visibility averages 100 feet and frequently exceeds that number.  Proximity to deep offshore waters means frequent visits from large pelagics such as whale sharks, rough tailed stingrays, grouper, manta rays and sea turtles.  Killer Whales (Orca) have even been spotted on the Flower Gardens!  Smaller tropical species such as angel fish, parrot fish, lobsters, crabs, moray eels, wrasses, mantis shrimp and numerous other species are constant residents of the reefs.  Most of the corals are of the knobby, boulder and plate variety with several coral heads as large as small cars.  Several species of sponges are also present.  You will also have the opportunity to dive one of the deep offshore oil platforms.  These are spectacular vertical reefs and are teeming with all sorts of marine life including sponges, oysters and thousands of marine fish and invertebrates.

What To Bring.  Divers are expected to bring all dive gear, including a regulator with pressure and depth gauge (or computer) an alternate air source, BC, dive lights, exposure protection and weights (unless flying).  Limited weights are available on the boat.  DO NOT bring spearguns or fishing equipment.  Pack all gear in a dive bag which will remain stowed under your dive station on the dive deck throughout the trip.  Pack a change of clothes and a towel in a separate bag which will be stowed under your bunk and will remain dry.  Appropriate clothing consists of shorts, t-shirts, bathing suits, hats, sunglasses and deck shoes (unless you like to go barefooted on the carpeted decks throughout the boat).  All food and sports drinks are provided as a part of your trip.  Please do not bring ice chests or food.

Cancellations.  Cancellations due to mechanical or weather problems will be reimbursed on a scale depending on the number of dives afforded.  Our common goal is to provide a quality experience and we will do everything in our power to accommodate individual needs.  Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended if flying into Houston for this trip since weather cancellations are not made until noon of the day of departure and some travellers may be in the air at that time.  DAN trip insurance is available on Mike's Dive Center website under the DAN logo.

Departure Times.  Divers need to be on the dock by 8 p.m. on the day of departure.  For Saturday-Sunday trips, the departure day is Friday evening.  Please check your dates carefully to be sure you don't miss the boat!  The dates of the trip are the actual diving dates so departure is the evening before the beginning trip date.

Directions.  Maps and driving directions are available from Mike's Dive Center and also from the websites for the individual boats.  There are no shuttles from the airport to the dock in Freeport.  This distance can be over 70 miles, depending on the airport used.  A rental car may be necessary depending on your individual circumstance.

We're Here For YOU!  We will do everything in our power to ensure the success of your trip and to provide a lasting and pleasant memory of your adventure.  Please don't hesitate to contact the shop for any questions you may have or if you need help with booking or other arrangements.
